The Aston Martin motor company is jumping on board fully with the electric vehicle movement in announcing that their entire line up will be either fully electric or have a hybrid option by the middle of next decade. This is all in part with the company’s big next century plan that will not only see the company go green, but also look to launch another seven models that will be aimed directly at the high-end Ferraris and McLarens of the world.
The company plans to launch new versions of its current lineup of the Rapide, DB11, the Vanquish and the Vantage and a hyper luxury crossover. The car will be very limited edition as only 175 are to be built. They haven’t forgotten the newly named super car the Valkyrie, which is estimated to be coming with a $3million dollar price tag. The company’s first foray into a fully electric vehicle will be the Rapide sedan that should be hitting the showroom before 2020. The company needs to catch up as most of its rivals have already revealed their plans regarding electric cars, since the demand in China and the European Union are high, while their emission standards are even higher.
