24. 2000-2014 Chevrolet Suburban and GMC Yukon XL
For those familiar with the GMC Yukon, the Yukon XL is essentially the same thing but with a stretched platform similar to the Chevy Suburban. The recent iSeeCars study discovered that 1.9 percent of models on the road with over 200,000 miles were Yukon XLs. Both the Yukon XL and Suburban are excellent choices for their extensive seating and cargo space, time-tested platform and powertrains, and timeless styling.
When you consider that the Suburban has been in production since 1935, it shouldn’t be surprising that Chevy has figured out how to perfect their full-sized utility vehicle. The Suburban and Yukon XL in the selected year range includes the ninth and tenth generations. They got new engines, including a Vortec 5.3-liter and a Vortec 6-liter. While the most recent examples might not have as many miles under their belt, earlier examples are solid performers.
