Audi A5 Hits Mark with Sportback

The Audi brand wants to make sure you know that the sedan category is not dead and its Audi A5 hits the mark with its new Sportback edition.

Some would argue that the nee A5 isn’t a sedan but more like a hatchback, but the company firmly wants you to know that its the sedan you know and love, even if its thrown in the funky idea of a hatch back to the cool lines of its sedan.  Think of it this way, you get the practicality of the Audi cross over sport utility vehicle A7, the clean and stealth lines of the A5 two door coupe and the functionality of the four door A4 and you get what should be a total mess, but it isn’t and if truth be told, it actually all works really well together.

And rather than this being a cobbled together model the Audi A5 Sportback is completely brand new from top to bottom.  You can expect to see the 2018 Audi A5 Sportback to come in three versions, the prestige, the premium and the premium plus, which will come with lane assist and blind alley monitoring, some LED lights, a new navigation package, rear traffic alert, memory seats with heat and a navigation package that includes an eight point three inch infotainment screen, access to the prime connect service through Audi and wifi hot spot and connection to Google’s mapping platform.

It wouldn’t be an Audi if you couldn’t get it with the all wheel drive Quattro platform that will be accompanied by an inline four, 2.0Litre engine that will keep you happy with over two hundred and fifty horses that are turbo charged.   This will let you look at the 2018 Audi A5 Sportback in the same light as the BMW 4 Grand Coupe and you can expect to pay somewhere between $45,000 and $50,000 depending on how many bells and whistles you add in.
