While the team over at Mercedes-Benz has been busy tweaking its line up on the sedan and smaller sports utility vehicle, the G Class pretty much escaped any kind of changes, until now that is and the new 2019 Mercedes G Class is a brute.
The Mercedes-Benz team took their sweet time in getting around to making changes to the forty year old model, but like the old saying goes, good things come to those who wait. The team at Mercedes-Benz made the wait worth while, but don’t go thinking that they messed too much with is ’cause they didn’t, really. The 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class pretty much looks almost the same even though the only things the team at Benz only kept the spare tire cover and the door handles. But what they did do is tone down the whole hard edge thing and gave this brute a bit of a softer look overall and while most may not even notice the changes, it adds a level of class to the whole thing.
The truck did get a bit longer with an extra two inches and it did get a bit bulkier by adding another five inches, and while this doesn’t sound like much it account for an about seven percent increase from the previous versions. And while the extra two inches in length doesn’t sound like much, it makes a huge difference inside by adding some comfort to both the front seat and rear sear passengers. And if you are worried about comfort on those long highway drives don’t, because the Mercedes-Benz G-Class comes with an optional massage package that’s built into the driver’s seat and can relax all those tight muscles as you enjoy the scenery.
Under the hood you can see that they haven’t shied away either as the Mercedes-Benz G-Class comes with a twin turbo V8, nine speed automatic with a four point zero litre engine that will kick out 416 horses and drive about 450 pounds of torque per square inch. You can expect to pay north of $125k for this beast, but well worth it if you want to stand out in the crowd.
